Visual Artist | Sculptor
Born and brought up in Purnea, Bihar, Deepak Singh is a visual artist based in the Delhi-NCR region. He holds a postgraduate degree in sculpture from Kala Bhavan, Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, West Bengal. Over the course of his artistic journey, he has participated in numerous art camps and exhibitions and has been recognized with several awards and scholarships for his creative practice.
While working across diverse mediums and artistic forms, Singh maintains a strong and enduring connection with painting. His practice engages with social conditions, everyday experiences, and contemporary realities through the use of visual metaphors, symbolism, and layered narratives.
Objects and elements drawn from everyday life frequently appear as recurring motifs in his compositions. He arranges these familiar forms in carefully considered relationships, often creating compositions that evoke the fragmented yet interconnected structure of a jigsaw puzzle. Through vibrant colors, balanced compositions, and symbolic imagery, Singh constructs a distinctive visual language that reflects his observations, experiences, and interpretations of the world around him.
