ARJUN VIJAYA

Visual Artist | Art Educator

Arjun Vijaya is a visual artist based in Gurgaon, Haryana, and an art educator at a reputed school. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kala Bhavan, Visva-Bharati University, West Bengal, and has also completed a Diploma in Animation from MAAC, Kolkata.

Working primarily in black-and-white pen and ink, Arjun’s artistic practice explores the intersection of nature, mysticism, and speculative science. His work investigates the underlying patterns and connections between the micro and the macro, the organic and the cosmic, transforming intricate lines and minimal materials into expansive visual worlds.

Driven by an interest in contemporary abstract expression, Arjun has recently expanded his practice into the captivating realm of fluid art. This new direction is rooted in curiosity, experimentation, and a fascination with the unpredictable movement and interaction of color.

Through both fluid art and pen-and-ink drawing, Arjun continues to explore the possibilities of movement, rhythm, balance, and transformation. Each flowing color and carefully considered pen stroke becomes part of an experimental journey—challenging conventional boundaries and creating new visual experiences.

Arjun has exhibited his work at several renowned art spaces and institutions, including Waves Art Gallery, Pune; Gallerie Ruki, Hauz Khas, New Delhi; Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi; and India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, among others.

He continues to explore how minimal materials and simple gestures can create complex worlds of imagination, inviting viewers to discover connections between nature, consciousness, and the universe.
